Meet Dr. Emily Trohatos | Meet the Staff
Alice - Registered Dental Hygienist
I assist Dr. Trohatos in providing the best care possible to all of our orthodontic patients. Most of my work is centered on making orthodontic adjustments comfortable, assisting in perfecting our patients' oral hygiene and simply making every appointment fun! I enjoy being with the people with whom I work and the patients I see every day! My goal is to work with the rest of our team, in order to go above and beyond so that your experience is as sweet as possible. In addition to my hygiene qualifications, I have a bachelor's degree in psychology. I am a member of the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association, Ontario Dental Hygienists Association and the Orthodontic Study Club of Ontario. I am always looking to expand my knowledge in the dental and orthodontic field at every opportunity and challenge myself with keeping up with the latest innovations and technologies.
On my spare time I enjoy the companionship of my puppy, throwing dinner parties, watching movies, and vacationing in warm climates!
Candice - Registered Dental Hygienist
Hello, I'm Candice and I help Dr. Trohatos with bondings, adjustments, and patient education. I enjoy educating my patients about their treatment and about achieving their optimal level of oral health. I like to see the excitement and satisfaction on their faces as their treatment is completed and their beautiful smiles emerge. My priority is to make my patients as comfortable as possible. I listen to their concerns and make sure to answer any questions they may have.
I am a graduate of the dental hygiene program at George Brown College and I have been a dental hygienist for several years. Since graduation I have participated in many continuing education classes to ensure that the care I provide to my patients is supported by the most current scientific dental evidence.
When I'm not in the office I enjoy spending time outside running and camping, as well as shopping and going to concerts.
Diana - Registered Dental Hygienist
Hello, I'm Diana and I assist Dr. Trohatos with orthodontic procedures. I make sure that I provide my patients with quality care and answer all questions or concerns they may have. I like to make their visit with us as comfortable as possible. Our office is very friendly and welcoming and I'm surrounded by an awesome team. We love to make all our patients smile while they are here!
I have been practising as a dental hygienist for several years and I'm constantly taking continuing education courses to stay current with the latest information and techniques.
I have a dog named Coco who keeps me busy when I'm not at work. He's a Maltese and is very playful and loves attention. I love to spend time with family and friends. In my spare time I volunteer at a dialysis unit at a nearby hospital.
Josie - Registered Dental Hygienist
Welcome to our practice! I'm Josie and I help to put braces on, show patients how to properly brush and floss with their new braces, change wires, and take braces off when their smile is complete!
Prior to achieving my dental hygiene diploma, I received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo. I'm registered with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario and I am a member of The Canadian Dental Hygienists Association.
When I'm not helping Dr. Trohatos at the office, you will most likely find me enjoying the company of friends and family, or finding great deals at my favourite stores!
When I'm working with patients, all my focus and attention is on them! I love every minute of working with this team! We have a lot of fun here, and I know you will, too!
Milena - Registered Dental Hygienist
Hi, I'm Milena and I help Dr. Trohatos by making sure our patients have great dental health. I try to find out what interests patients and what is going on in their lives so that I can build relationships with them. When they're comfortable in our office, getting braces doesn't seem that bad! Whenever you come here, expect to find a friendly, caring, and bubbly set of people who will laugh with you and help you have a wonderful orthodontic experience!
I like Latin dancing and watching movies with my wonderful husband. I also love to travel, read, and take part-time courses in languages.
Morena - Dental Assistant
Welcome! I'm Morena and I assist Dr. Trohatos by getting rooms ready for patients and helping during procedures. I like everything I do in my job, from interacting with patients to assisting the doctor and working with my coworkers. Our goal is to make our patients feel as comfortable as possible during their treatment and provide them with all the information they'll need to make an informed decision about their health.
I am married and we have a wonderful son who I love to spend time with when I'm not in the office.
Melina - Treatment Coordinator 
Hello, my name is Melina. I'm treatment coordinator at Orthodontics on Danforth. It's my job to welcome new patients to our office, and to help them get started with their treatment. I'm always willing to answer any questions our patients may have and I'm dedicated to ensuring they enjoy their orthodontic experience.
Wendy - Scheduling Coordinator 
Welcome! I'm Wendy and I take care of our patients' scheduling needs. You can usually find me at the front desk greeting patients with a friendly smile! Dr Trohatos is an exceptional orthodontist! Her attention to detail, knowledge of her profession, and genuine care for her patients makes her a great orthodontist, and the way she treats her staff makes her a wonderful boss. Our great relationship with each other helps create a pleasant atmosphere for everyone! Prior to joining the Orthodontics on Danforth team, I was a Registered Massage Therapist practising in an Injury Rehabilitation Centre.
I enjoy any leisure time I can get! Having two active kids keeps me really busy when I'm not at work!
Emily - Dental Assistant
Hello, my name is Emily and I am one of the newest members to this team. My role in this office as an orthodontic assistant is to take impressions, photos and x-rays for your treatment. I also prepare the room for your visit. Since I've been here, I've enjoyed assisting Dr. Trohatos and our hygienists in making your visit a pleasant one.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies and exploring Toronto.
