Dr. Emily Trohatos
I am a certified specialist in orthodontics and opened Orthodontics on Danforth in 2000.
I grew up in this great city and attended the University of Toronto where I completed dental school, earning my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1994. After working as a general dentist for two years, I furthered my education at the University of Manitoba where I obtained my Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science degree in 1999. When I'm not helping to create beautiful smiles, I enjoy exercising, gardening, playing tennis and spending time with my family and friends.
Orthodontics is a merging of science and art. I find it very rewarding to provide individualized care to so many unique people every day. Sharing in the lives of my patients on a daily basis is one of my favorite aspects of working in this field. I have the best patients in the world and even though I help to create their smiles, my patients make me smile every day.
I am actively learning the latest methods through continuing education courses because it is important to me to provide my patients with the most current orthodontic treatments and trends. I continually take courses offered through Invisalign and the Invisalign Orthodontist Study Club. I am an active member of the Toronto Orthodontic Club and the University of Toronto Orthodontic Alumni Association.
My team is made up of fun, energetic people, who are always warm and caring. They are a part of my family and while we are serious about the service we provide, we have a great sense of humour and share in laughter!
